ARS Transport was founded in the year 2001 by Antonio Silva in the city of Yakima, Washington. As an owner-operator, Antonio specialized in the transportation of produce in all eleven western states, while building solid business relationships with produce companies and other logistics companies in the process. It was during those first few years that Antonio became aware of a need for better business relations between trucking companies and logistics coordinators, and that awareness led to the creation of ARS Transport Brokerage in 2007, which became the logistics coordinating branch of ARS Transport.
Antonio Silva Jr. joined the company in 2007 as the first logistics coordinator, and quickly established a robust network of carriers through which he was able to provide logistics solutions to all their clients. As the company’s client list grew, so did the demand for more carriers, leading ARS Transport to add more logistics coordinators and office staff. From 2007 to the present day, ARS Transport has experienced simultaneous growth in the trucking business, with the addition of company owned trucks, and in the transport coordination side of business. This growth led ARS Transport to a new location in Yakima in 2018, thus allowing a better service to all their customers and partners, with new offices, shop, and a truck yard capable of holding 50+ trucks.
All team members at ARS Transport are proud of what has been achieved, but more than that, there is a sense of excitement for the growth that is to come, as the company expands its business relations, trucking lanes, and services.
